First DIY- Ring Bearer Pillow
Here is my first DIY and I am very proud of it! This project took about 2 hours and only because I am a perfectionist. For this project I bought a yard of Ivory fabric ( much more than is needed), 2 types of ribbon, a flower bloom, a rhinestone button, and fill for the pillow. I used this tutorial to help me along.. http://www.weddingbee.com/2010/05/28/diy-ring-pillow-3/#more-145182
Thank you Mrs. Sunrise! The pillow turned out perfect. It measures approximately 8x8".
I bought all materials at Hobby Lobby.. Here is the approximate price breakdown..
-Ivory Satin Fabric $5.00
-Ribbon (2 spools) $4.00 (they were 50% off)
-Flower $3.00 (50% off)
-Rhinestone button $3.00
-Polyfill $3.00
TOTAL COST $ 15.00 I used a 40% off coupon as well for one of the items
I also have fabric and ribbon left over to make the flower girl basket!

Semi DIY- Flower Girl Basket
For myself, the flower girl basket was difficult to make. I had purchased a wicker basket for a dollar and tried for 3 days to wrap it with the satin I had purchased but it was impossible. Although I like to do DIY's, the purpose is for it NOT to look like a DIY. So, since I had all the materials I contacted creations4brides on etsy and asked if she would make my basket using my materials. She said yes and it turned out perfect! Sometimes I have to let the professionals take charge :)
Here is the approximate price breakdown..
-Ivory satin fabric FREE (left over from pillow)
-Ribbons FREE (left over from pillow)
-Flower $3.00 (50% off)
-Rhinestone button $3.00
-Creationsforbrides $20.00 (charged for her time and talent)
-TOTAL COST $ 26.00
I still have fabric and ribbon left over to finalize some other projects!

DIY- Personalized Hangers
I decided to make personalized hangers as gifts. I made them for myself, my bridesmaids and maid of honor, my ladies in black, my mom's, the flower girl, and my one usherette. I made 13 total! For this project I bought materials from a few different places. The hangers are from walmart, the floral wire is from Michaels, and the black hotfix rhinestones I bought from crystal-pro shop off ebay. I used this tutorial to help me make the hangers.. http://shellchris.weebly.com/custom-hangers.html. Thank you Michelle!!
Here is the approximate price breakdown..
-Hangers(20 pack) $12.00
-Floral wire(4 packs) $16.00 ($4 each)
-Rhinestones $ 5.00 I have rhinestones leftover for other projects
-Hotfix Jeweler $ 9.00 I will use this on other projects as well
TOTAL COST $42.00
PRICE PER HANGER $3.25
I still have hangers and rhinestones left over to use. I will also be using the hotfix jeweler to make my cake topper and some rhinestone hoodies so that cost for this project will be void for others, making other projects more affordable.

DIY- Tears of Joy Packets
I can finally check these off my list! My Tears of Joy packets are done and they were a labor of love. When I had first started researching this project there were many different ways to do them. I had the option of making the envelopes from tissue paper or to buy glassine envelopes but I didn't think either of those option were for me. So, I decided to make the envelopes myself. I made a template for the envelope, used glue strips to secure them together, made pink W wax seals to close them, and made stickers for the front of them to complete the look. Each of the 200 packets that I made are stuffed with two pieces of kleenex. I did take some pictures during this process and I will try and get a tutorial up of how to make these. For now, I bought the blank stickers on ebay from seller hang_tags. They were 1 3/8 x 2 1/2 inch ovals. The W wax seal was purchased at Michaels and the pink faux wax was purchased on ebay from seller sdwells.
Here is the approximate price breakdown..
-12x12 scrapbook paper (50 pieces-on sale) $18.00
-Bone folder (40% off) $ 3.60
-W seal stamp $ 5.00
-pink wax (with shipping) $14.50
-glue strips and dots $18.00
-blank stickers $13.00
-kleenex $ 9.00
TOTAL COST $81.10
Yes there is most likely cheaper ways to make tears of joy packets, but keep in mind I made about 215 of these. I also have wax, glue strips and dots, and some scrapbook paper left over for other projects. Also, these packets look amazing in person and it looks like I spent way more paying someone to make these for me. You can't beat that!

DIY- 'Love Is' Table Numbers
Here are my table numbers! Scott gives me the 'love is' comics all the time, so we wanted to encorporate them in our table numbers. Each table number has a different wedding themed 'love is' comic attached to it. On our escort table, I will have another frame explaining why we did this so our guests can apprecitate it. The paper was from paper and more. The mat is a pink metallic and the table numbers were printed on champagne metallic. I purchased the frames from another knottie who used them at her wedding- I spray painted them black.
The frame on the right reads: "Attached to each table number is a different 'love is' comic for you to read. To us, 'love is' family and friends. Take the time to visit each table, read the comics, and get to know some of our loves.

DIY- Photobooth Strips (favor)
I created the strip in word and I added our monogram to the bottom. These will be at each plate setting for the reception and this is also our favor to our guests. It was printed on champagne metallic cardstock and the ribbon was left over from my ring bearer pillow.
It reads, "We are so glad you could share this day with us. To commemorate this occasion, please stop by the Photo Booth! Visit as many times as you would like and take a strip home in this sleeve. Don't forget to leave the duplicate for us so we can share in the memory. This day would not have been the same without you. Love, Laura and Scott.

DIY- Reserved Seating Signs
For our outdoor ceremony I wanted the first two rows to be reserved for special friends and family. This project cost me less than $15.00. I had leftover paper and glue dots from other projects. The only thing I purchased for this project was ribbon which I got from hobby lobby for 50% off. The sign itself is 4.5" x 3.5'. The ribbon is a foot and a half long so they can tie to chairs outside.
DIY- Sports Jersey Guestbook
This DIY is something I have to give my fiance major credit for. On our first date, he said he was never getting married, but if it were to ever happen, he would want a jersey guestbook so it can be displayed in the house. Well, we're getting married and the jersey guestbook made it! He had both of these jerseys made at MLB.com, with both our future last names on them. He is a Chicago White Sox fan and I am a Chicago Cubs fan. His number is 08, mine is 27 which in terms is August 27. There is a foam board inside these jerseys so I guests can sign these with ease. I love this!!!
This sign says- Scott is a Sox fan, Laura is a Cubs fan, Whos fan are you? In lieu of a traditional guest book, we ask that our guests sign these jerseys. We plan to display these in our home as a memento of our wedding day.

Rhinestone Cake Topper
My cake topper was ordered through crafty eddy. I first put two coats of black acrylic paint on it. I then put a coat of black glitter all over it, sides and everything. I then finished it off with over 1,000 rhinestones, covering the front, back, and sides making it look like pave diamonds. Took a few days to complete with all the coats, but it looks awesome!
Bridesmaid's Wine Glasses
I made 11 glasses all together for my bridesmaid's, ladies in black, the mothers, and then myself. I ordered the decals from scraps of love on etsy, and purchased a package of 12 glasses for $10.00. I was able to customized the colors of the decals and I think they turned out awesome.
